Privacy Policy

United States of Bourbon collects and uses information needed to operate member accounts, Passport features, security, and site functionality.

Information associated with your account

  • Name, email address, authentication information, and account settings.
  • Passport activity such as approved or pending stamps, visit dates, state/trail progress, and achievements.
  • Profile images, visit photos, notes, or other content you choose to submit.
  • Technical and session information needed to authenticate users, protect the service, and operate the site.

Location during check-in

Location permission is requested only when you choose to verify a distillery check-in. Your device sends the current coordinates and location accuracy needed to determine whether you are within the check-in area. United States of Bourbon does not continuously track your location, and the check-in process does not save your submitted latitude and longitude as part of your Passport stamp record.

If location verification is unavailable or unsuccessful, the site may offer a visit-photo submission instead.

Photos and member content

Photos and notes you voluntarily submit may be stored with the related Passport activity so the requested feature can be provided or reviewed.

Cookies and sessions

The site uses cookies or similar session mechanisms needed for sign-in, account security, preferences, and core site operation.

Google sign-in

If you choose Google sign-in, United States of Bourbon uses information provided through Google authentication to identify and connect your member account. Your Google password is not provided to United States of Bourbon.

Email and service providers

Information may be processed by service providers when needed for hosting, authentication, transactional email, security, or related site operations. United States of Bourbon does not sell member account information.

Account deletion

Members can request permanent account deletion from the Account page. The deletion process removes the account and associated member data handled by that workflow, and cannot be undone.

Privacy questions

This policy describes the current operational practices of United States of Bourbon and may be updated as the service and mobile/app features evolve.
